We have had really great weather this week and today was just really beautiful. I guess it is supposed to turn cold starting tomorrow, some kind of cold front moving in. We did a little gardening today. I cut back some roses today, I hope it was the right time to do it, hopefully I did not kill them. Need to get some mulch to cover the bottom of the rose bush and all of the bulb plants.
We tried to adopt another dog but it didn't work out. All he did was run away. One of the guys at work took him for his wife. He had been looking for one and when he saw the picture of this one it reminded him of a dog that they had had before. So, I think it all worked out well in the end.
I've been going to physical therapy for my back and it has really been helping. I am going back to acupuncture on Monday and I have been doing bi weekly massages so I am definitely on the mend.
I almost have Britney's scarf done for her birthday, I need to finish it up this weekend so I can get it in the mail soon. I am really not sure what I am going to have done in time for Christmas. I guess whoever gets something will be surprised.
All right off to have some dessert! mmmmm

Friday
Well, another week is done! I went to physical therapy Monday and it bothered my back so I had to stay home on Tuesday. It is still bothering me and sitting at work all day has not been fun. I am going to physical therapy tomorrow and hopefully it will help this time.
Melissa and I went to another cooking class. This one was for pies. Unfortunately it wasn't as good as the other class we took. I did take some pictures this time though.
We are going to have a new puppy if everything works out. We haven't seen him in person yet but he is coming tomorrow afternoon and if he gets along with the other puppies. He looks to be a corgi mix. I will post some pictures when he comes to visit.
I am really tired along with my back hurting I think David has past along his cold to me so should be a fun weekend! I am going to finish up Britney's scarf.

Another Sunday
I can't believe it has been a week since I posted! We have had a pretty good weekend so far. It is quite chilly now so we have had the fireplace going most of the weekend. David put another doggy door in so we can close the french door and save on the heating bill. Jack and I are sitting here watching the Cincinnati Bengals play. I am doing a little work while I am watching since I owe them a few hours for the week.
As far as knitting, I worked on the bolero until I used up the first skein, I have to join in and knit about 4 more inches to finish it up. I decided to stop working on that and work on a scarf for Britney's birthday. It is one of the pom-pom scarfs that I knitted before, I had 4 skeins to knit it and I did one skein yesterday, it does not take long to knit up.
On Thursday night my friend Melissa and I went to a cooking class at Dorothy Lane. This was one of the classes where you sit at tables and watch the chef cook. It was French food and French wine and it was very good!
Friday, I interviewed for another job. Hoping to find out this week if I got it and then I will give this job two weeks notice. I am hoping the new job will be a little more in line to what I would like to do plus it is a salary position.
David is installing a new water softener. He has the water turned off so no laundry is getting done yet plus I am supposed to make him pumpkin bread for his work but all of that is on hold at the moment until he finishes. He had it in but found that the lines weren't run properly from the old one and he is putting in a filter too so it may be awhile before things get done around here.
I had two trick or treaters last night! So, we are eating lots of candy today.
I will try to post some pictures later.

Sunday!

We have had a nice weekend. David and I went to IHOP yesterday morning, well mid-morning so it was more of a brunch than a breakfast. We didn't go to IKEA or the junkyard as I didn't feel like walking around and David didn't really need anything from the junkyard. We did stop at a couple stores to look for some pants that David wants but we couldn't find them. When we got home David took a nap with the dogs and I laid down upstairs because my back was sore from sitting in the car. Jack got me up to go drop off some job applications and then we went to the mall to get him a jacket. When we go back I just went and laid in bed, trying to rest up and get better. The puppies kept me company. This morning I woke up in pain again, David got my meds for me and I went back to sleep for awhile and then got up to go to commissary. I decided I need to stay out of bed to day and move around so I am doing laundry and cleaning in between watching the football games. I am going to work on some knitting once I am happy with all the cleaning.
I am posting a picture that I sent out to everyone this week of Jack all dressed up for Homecoming Dance. He had a really good time. I told David we have to start saving for the Prom! Everything is so expensive.
Well, off to change the laundry over and get our steaks marinating for dinner.

Feeling Better
I went to the doctor yesterday and he put me on 2 days of bed rest and gave me motrin and percocet. I am feeling better this afternoon and will go to work tomorrow. I am going to have to get up and move around more at work so I don't get this bad again. I am going to have to set a timer so I get up every hour and walk around. The dr. is sending me to physical therapy again but this time I get to go downtown so hopefully it will be better than what I was getting at the base. I am also going to go back to accupuncture.
I have not knitted or done anything crafty in awhile. I am beginning to think I will have to scale back on home made Christmas gifts this year but maybe I will have a sudden rush and get it all done...who knows?
Not much else going on, the weather is getting colder and the heater is on. Need to cut back the plants but not sure when I will get around to it, might have to hire someone.
We may go to Cincinnati this weekend to IHOP and then David go to junk yard and I go to IKEA, I have not been there since Rachel came and I still have a cart that needs to be put together in the garage.
I really think working is interfering with me getting things done :)
Off to lay back down.

On my back

Well the weekend has not gone as planned. I was supposed to go to my second real estate class but I woke up with a horrible sinus headache and my right hip/back were hurting. I got over the headache pretty good but today when we went to Wal-Mart I bent over ever so slightly and "pop" the back went out. So, I have been laying on my back most of the day watching football. It still hurts really bad. I have taken muscle relaxer and naproxen. I am going to slap the tens machine and ice it after dinner and then put a lidocaine patch on it and hope for the best. While I was laying immobilized I had a few guests taking naps on or near me. They were quite perturbed when I would get up. Not much else going on, work is going good and I got my first paycheck on Friday, we get paid every two weeks and it was nice to have the extra money coming in.
I am at the point in the bolero where I have to knit eight inches in the single rib stitch to make the collar portion of the sweater. I have not worked on it at all this weekend and right now I can't even sit to work on it.
I hope I can work okay tomorrow.

Enon Apple Butter Festival
There are still many festivals going on around us. David heard about this one from the lady at his work. It was not that big nor did it have that much apple butter. There were plenty of food booths which reminded me of the Flower Festival in Lompoc. We didn't stay too long and we didn't get any apple butter because the only place to get it was at one location and the line was about 3 blocks long. We did get to see the butter in the cast iron vats over the open fire. It was really cool. I remember when we lived in Missouri that we went to an apple butter festival in the town square and I believe it was Mt Vernon. It was really nice to get out and see it and again the weather was very nice, I even had to wear my hat!
I have had a great Columbus day off, I really don't want to go back to work. I have to go upstairs and figure out what to wear but at least I can watch Monday Night Football while I am getting everything ready.
All right off to take care of things....
